A US Army video features combat divers (SCUBA) from the 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne) and displays some of their high intensity training operations.
We all know and love the Green Berets’ HALO jump specialty, and it’s awesome. Yet, the US Army Special Forces employ advanced dive teams as well to infiltrate undetected deep behind enemy lines.
To become a combat diver, one must pass the grueling seven week Combat Diver Qualification Course (CDQC) at the Special Forces Underwater Operations School in Key West, Florida. CDQC is said to be one of the most physically and mentally demanding courses the Army, or entire military, has to offer, and only one in three candidates will pass.
The 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne) is the Army’s Original Special Forces Group focusing on the Eastern Europe area of operations.
